DAV Public School, Kalinga Nagar celebrated children’s day in a simple but elegant way .The occasion started with a floral tribute to the country’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on his 132^nd Birth Anniversary. In the formal meeting organised to mark this occasion, Principal of the school Bipin Kumar Sahoo in his address to the students said, ‘Success comes to those who are determined and put their effort in a channelized manner’. Highlighting on the importance of the day, he urged the students to prepare themselves as per the need of the hour and stand up to the expectations that Pandit Nehru had dreamt about the nation. The beautiful chorus by the teachers charged with inspiration and appreciation for the students, imparted a musical touch to the occasion. Teacher Soma Dutta & members of the school student cabinet Pritichhanda Ray & Nimisha Patra reflected on the crucial role of Pt. Neheru as the architect of modern India and his love for the children. Meritorious students of different intramural competitions were felicitated with certificate and trophy. The programme was live telecast on YouTube live streaming and was smoothly organized in line with COVID-19 SOP by the whole-hearted cooperation of all the members of the staff.
