Mahatma Hansraj Day was observed in our school premises on 19.04.24. Mahatma Hansraj was one of the most prolific educationalists born in 1864 in a small town in Bajwara,in the Hoshiarpur district in Punjab. He was a Mahatma in true sense. He is acknowledged as the founding father of the DAV movement.He was deeply influenced by the ideals and philosophy of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and his soul -stirring appeal was to revitalise Aryan Hinduism through the Vedas.He believed that salvation of the masses lay in education and he also put emphasis on doing karma in right time.
- The programme was coordinated by Mr Dillip Satapathy.
- Floral tribute was offered as a reverence to the great departed soul.
- Holy Hawan was performed as a tribute to the pious soul.
- Hawan was followed by a short speech delivered by Mr.Dillip Satapathy in which he cited about the life history of Mahatma Hansraj.
- Our Principal sir Mr.Balaram Maharapatra also highlighted on importance of Karma in one's life.He aso advised to follow the path of Mahatma by ensuring Karma judiciously.
- At last the programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Mr Dillip Satapathy.
